Floor Plan and Options

Our floor plan is unique to Potomac Shores. During our search for a new home, we visited Potomac Shores many times hoping a floor plan that worked for us would magically appear. And also because I was obsessed with the decor of the model homes. Kudos to whomever decorated!

We were encouraged by our Sales Rep not to forget about Potomac Shores and she got word that a new layout was going to be debuted. On January 30th, we received a call from her saying she has a home she thinks would be great for us. As soon as we saw the layout we were excited. It had the open concept we wanted, reasonable square footage and most importantly for us an office option. Unfortunately, we were told the morning room was not an option because none of the lots were large enough to accommodate the home. For us, this was a major selling feature and something we could not purchase the home without. But with the diligence of our incredible Sales Rep, she searched every lot in The Cove section and found a lot large enough to hold it. There was no model for us to tour in the community, so we drove all the way to Stephenson, VA on February 9th to view a model. PERFECTION! Yes this was our home.

Below you will see the Milan with Morning Room floor plan, we are having built.

Security and Wiring by Guardian Protection Services:
Alarm System hardwired throughout the home
Cable/Telephone outlets: The home comes with 3 cable entries and 3 telephone jacks and can be interchanged for your needs. So if you need 4 cable entries, you will have 2 telephone jacks left. We chose to add more cable ports because we felt it would be easier and cheaper in the long run to add them pre-dry wall. After talking with Guardian, an electrician would experience some difficulties doing so afterwards and it would damage to the wall.

We did cable outlets in the family room, study, master, all four bedrooms, basement finished area and a special drop in the media room so that when it is finished, the cable line is already there.
